 iPhone 5 vs iPhone 4S
With the launch of the new iPhone 5, many smartphone users, especially those who bought the iPhone 4S recently, have been left wondering whether it would be worth it to buy Apple’s latest device. To find out which of the two phones is better, we need to compare some of the similar features.

For starters, the difference between the size of the iPhone 4S and the iPhone 5 is minimal-a 1/2inch vertically and over 1 inch in depth. Apple’s newest addition, the iPhone 5, is longer, thinner and has a longer widescreen display (16:9) as compared to the iPhone 4S.

With regard to design, both of these devices look amazing. The iPhone 4/4S has one of the best designs on any phone so far though it is rather easy to break due to the glass panels placed at the front and back. The iPhone 5’s design has somewhat remedied this problem as it has an aluminum panel at the back. In addition, its appearance is much better than that of the iPhone 4S because the finer points of the device and its overall shape have been devised with accuracy giving it a more stunning look.

The iPhone 5’s A6 ARM chip processor has the same design as that of the iPhone 4S though it has numerous modifications. These modifications make the phone’s processor better giving it an edge over the previous models. As for its camera, the iPhone 5 has disappointed many of its customers because the update on it is very slight. It still has the same lens speed and megapixel rating as that of the iPhone 4S. The only difference is the lens glass, which is important though not what was expected. And of course there is still the the issue of Purple Flares on the iPhone 5! However, here is a comparison that does show that there is some improvement from the previous model:

Another disappointing feature on the iPhone 5 is the flash memory storage. The cost to install flash storage on the phone is still very expensive and it hasn’t changed much since the previous models, going as far back as the iPhone 3GS. Therefore, for those who require faster data speeds and are on the Verizon network, it would be advisable to purchase the new iPhone 5. For users on AT&T and Sprint, it is recommended that you stick to the iPhone 4S until the next iPhone launch as it is not that different from the iPhone 5 as far as most users are concerned and educated.

IPad Mini

IPad Mini
IPad Mini
iPad Mini is Just Like iPad, and Only Better
Apple announced the iPad Mini, which was the first iProduct which had so less anticipation from consumers. Lines outside the Apple stores were small enough, and at some stores there were no lines. iPad Mini was underwhelming for some people. But for some this is just an iPad with a small screen and less price than full sized iPad.

At $329, iPad mini is damn expensive than any other 7 inch tablet. For the record, Nexus 7 ships at just $199, which is $130 less than iPad Mini. So what iPad mini has that premium for this premium price? Answer is bit hurting. Nothing.

iPad mini falls short at every end when we compare it to any 7" tablet. The only thing iPad mini can boast about is Apple's logo. Yeah it has got it on its back.

iPad mini as compared to larger version also falls short. In terms of specs, it has got nothing boastful. iPad mini has a poor A5, year old processor. RAM is not much, might be around 512 MB, I suppose.

But hey, its 2012. World no longer works 'only' on specs. iPad mini runs on iOS, which unlike Android has Zero lag. Scrolling, panning and everything feels smooth, even on a year old hardware.

iPad when arrived, was successful because of its screen size. 10" screen was good enough for casual browsing, soft core email and was great for Twitter, Facebook and watching HD content. Great screen plus the 10 Hour inevitably large battery life was success formula for Apple.

iPad Mini is featured with a 7.9 inch screen. Just a inch or half smaller than the original iPad, so whats the catch? We measure screen size diagonally, so 7.9 inch is way smaller than 10 inch screen. But still iPad mini has a screen that is bigger than most 7 inch tablets and could be held easily in one hand.

Also, a battery life better than iPad is surely welcomed. It gives a consistent battery life of 12 Hours with moderate usage and is one of those devices which outperform from what has been stated on Apple's website.

What makes iPad Mini so special is its design. Nothing Much.

The ability to hold iPad Mini is just as good as comparing weight of both iPads. iPad Mini just feels right. Combination of Lightness plus bigger screen, than most of seven inch tablet, makes it a perfect machine.

Talking about the year old hardware, you'll only feel it when playing graphic intensive games. But for casual work, which I suppose most people do, it do not show lag, just like any other iOS device.

Typically speaking, on couch weight do matter. Holding the original iPad was a kind of 'Doing Weightlifting.' iPad Mini makes your hand feel comfortable after long work hours. You can hold it in one hand and still enjoy full HD videos.

PROS:

     Light weight
    Great battery life
    One hand usability
Same media experience like original iPad
Bigger screen than most 7 inch competition

CONS:

    Expensive
    No retina display
    Old hardware

Samsung Chromebook (Wi-Fi, 11.6-Inch)

Buy Amazon Samsung Chromebook (Wi-Fi, 11.6-Inch)

Google and Samsung introduced a new low-cost 11.6-inch Samsung Chromebook. It has an ultra-slim design of only 0.8 inches, Chrome OS, ARM Cortex-A15 processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB of user memory. Special bonus from Google is100GB free memory in Google Drive for two years. The display device has a resolution of 1366 x 768p. Chromebook has Bluetooth 3.0 and 6 hours battery life.
The price is really impressive - only $ 249.00!

What are the first impressions? The machine is pretty solid - the design and materials are great for the price at which it is proposed. The laptop is quite thin, lightweight and easy to carry. The display is nice and bright. Good for viewing from different angles, although there may be some improvements in this area.

In conclusion we can say that Samsung Chromebook is a truly unique device for the price, which is offered at. The laptop is with 100GB available for two years and is undoubtedly a winner.

 The new Chromebook, for everyone
As a kid growing up in India, I was fascinated with computers and the endless possibilities they presented. I had to wait until college to finally get my hands on one in the computer lab and since then began dreaming of a world where everyone could have access to one. We’re not quite there yet, but every day we get a bit closer.

A few years ago, we set out on a journey to build a better computer that’s faster, simpler and more secure. When we introduced a few Chromebooks into the market, many of you early adopters joined us on this journey. For folks living entirely in the cloud, the Chromebook is now a primary computer.

Many people use the Chromebook today as the perfect additional computer for their home. For families, it’s easy to use and share: for kids doing homework on the couch, parents catching up on emails at the kitchen counter and grandparents staying connected on video chat. There’s no need to worry about security updates and maintenance is easy; all you need to do is charge the battery. It just works.

This gets to the heart of the Chromebook vision. In order to have one, two or more computers around the house, they need to be easy to use and much more affordable. So together with Samsung, we designed a new laptop—the new Samsung Chromebook for $249—the computer for everyone.

The new Chromebook is a great computer at any price, but it’s an incredible computer at $249. It’s one of the lightest laptops on the market. You can easily carry it around all day—it’s 2.5 pounds, a mere 0.8 inches thick, with more than 6 hours of battery life for the typical user. And with 100 GB of free storage on Google Drive*, you can get to all of your stuff anytime, anywhere.

Even with its compact design, it’s packed with performance—it boots up in less than 10 seconds and resumes instantly. High-resolution videos (in 1080p) are beautiful to watch and when using the touchpad, you’ll notice smooth scrolling due to a hardware-accelerated user interface. And as you‘d expect from a Chromebook, it’s easy to share with others. Everyone—mom, dad, grandparents, tech lovers, tech haters—can have separate accounts where all of their stuff is kept safe. Finally, if you’re an active Google user of products like Gmail, Drive, Search, Maps, YouTube, Play or Google+ Hangouts, everything just works seamlessly.

Starting today, the new Samsung Chromebook is available for pre-order online from Amazon, Best Buy, PC World and other retailers. Next week it will be available for sale from these same online retailers as well as the Google Play store. You can also buy them at over 500 Best Buy stores across the U.S and over 30 PC World and Currys stores in the U.K.

So if you ever felt it was too complicated and too expensive to have an additional computer (or two), we hope you (and the entire family) will give the new Chromebook a try.

The Kindle scam.
Amazon are a nasty bunch. They are selling kindles like hot cakes to the masses and the masses are buying them thinking that it is in order to read books on them. But the facility to download literature is not what the Kindle is about. It is far more nasty than that!

When reading the following bear in mind that Kindles are being given, as presents, to very, very young children on the assumption that it will encourage reading:

Christmas day; little Pete opens his present from granny, whoopee! A Kindle. But what's this? First he must register with amazon which requires an email address. Okay, lets open an email account for the darling little five year old then register with Amazon. Okay done let's now have a look at what Kindle will do....  Oooooh look mummy I can play games on my new present, can I download 'Angry birds'?

Uncle Dave gave little Pete a £25 voucher from Amazon which is credited to his account. Little Pete blows £23.45 on game downloads without the thought of a book. Little Pete is a little too young to read a book let alone realise that he is being conditioned by Amazon!

Uncle Dave looks for books that may be borrowed from the Kindle library (one of the selling points of the thing) but finds he must activate a free trial to the 'Prime' club thing before little Pete can borrow a book. He must provide credit card details among other things in order to take up the free months 'trial' membership. At the end of the month he must remember to terminate the membership otherwise Amazon will be stripping out of the card account nearly £50.00 per annum which is the actual cost of being allowed to borrow 1 book per month. that is not borrowing. That is hiring a book a month at the cost of £4.00 per book. Little Pete and his family are being fleeced.

Meanwhile little Pete, without a single book being downloaded, is playing games like there is no tomorrow and while he is playing games he is being bombarded with pop up ads from Amazon. Ads for all sorts of things useful to Pete such as motorcars and insurance.

This brings us to the central purpose of the Kindle: It is an Amazon shop in your home, marketing amazon products constantly and as they have your card details every purchase is just a click away. It is like living with a pushy salesman 24 hours a day!

By the 1st of January little Pete is doing 8 hours of game playing on his Kindle, Mummy is delighted that he is occupied while she gets pissed on baileys and watches re-runs of sex in the city. She tells Gran: 'It's like having a free nanny'! All the while she is conning herself that little Pete is doing something EDUCATIONAL rather than rapidly acquiring behavioral problems, obesity and long term damage to his hands and wrists.

QUESTION: Why can I not remove  Amazons  'Silk' and 'IMDb' apps from the Kindle thereby making it safe for children?

QUESTION: Why are amazon allowed to push unsuitable products on small children in this way. Why  are they not obliged to market a product designed for kids without the advertising and without the need to register with card details?

Parents, you are paying large sums of money for nothing more than the packaging. The Kindle is the IT equivalent of an empty cornflakes packet which can be filled in future by subscription only.

'SUCKERS' is probably the most frequently used term at Amazon HQ!

IT IS ALSO IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THAT AMAZON PAY ALMOST NO TAX ON UK SALES...
